Before founding Sunra Health, I spent the early part of my career in the pharmaceutical industry, where I learned how to evaluate scientific evidence, interpret clinical research, and understand how medical discoveries ultimately shape patient care.

Then I became a mother.

When my daughter experienced multiple reactions following routine vaccinations and later developed PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome), I found myself searching for answers no one seemed able to provide. Years of specialists, therapies, emergency room visits, and uncertainty eventually led us to genetic insights that finally connected the dots.

But the greatest realization wasn't what we learned.

It was when we learned it.

For the first time, we understood how her biology helped explain many of the health challenges we'd been navigating for years.

I couldn't stop wondering how different our journey might have been if we'd had that information sooner. Not because it would have answered every question, but because it would have given us a more complete picture during some of the most important decisions of her childhood.

That experience changed everything.

Every day, parents are asked to make important health decisions without understanding the biological factors that may influence how their child responds to nutrition, medications, environmental exposures, immune challenges, or other aspects of health. Yet these are the very questions where genetics can provide meaningful context for more informed conversations.

That's why I founded Sunra.
